Gluten foods are all foods containing any form of wheat, barley, rye and oats. People on gluten diet exclude all gluten foods from their diet to avoid the adverse effects of gluten. Gluten foods foods are not limited to the above foods, item such as bread, cakes, biscuits, pasta and pastries made from wheat flour are obvious sources of gluten that should be avoided. Wheat berries or grains, wheat bran; wheat flakes, wheat flour, wholemeal flours; wheat meal; wheat protein; wheat starch; bulgar wheat; couscous; cracked wheat; durum wheat (used in pasta); kibbled wheat; pourgouri; rusk semolina; wheat germ
Pearl barley, pot barley, barley flakes, barley flour, barley meal
Oats, oats flakes, jumbo oats, porridege oats, rolled oats, oatmeal, pinhead oatmeal, oatbran, oatgerm
Rye flakes, rye flour, rye meal
Triticale (wheat/rye hybrid grain)
Dry goods like baking powder, malt, curry powder, mustard powder, MSG, gravy mixes, spices, and ready-ground white pepper, shredded suet (in packet), stock cubes.
Pasta
Some cornflakes
Salad dressing, soy sauce, malt vinegar.
Some processed cheese spreads and flavoured yogurts
Sausages (any sausage rolls), meat pies, beef-burgers, food coated in
