Delicious gluten free spaghetti marinara that is delicious and pleasure to consume


This sauce is thick and will stick to the gluten free pasta.  Like many others tomato-based dishes, it taste better the next day. If you have the time, make the sauce the day before, and cover and refrigerate the pan to allow the flavors to blend before reheating and spooning it onto your pasta.

Gluten Free Spaghetti Marinara(4 servings)
Spaghetti Marinara Ingredients
  • 11⁄2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup grated carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 8-ounce box rice penne pasta
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 12-ounce box rice spaghetti

Gluten Free Spaghetti Marinara

1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onions, carrots, and garlic until tender, stirring frequently (about 5 minutes).

2 Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, basil, oregano, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and sugar. Heat the sauce to boiling, and then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer the sauce for 20 minutes.

3 Prepare the gluten free spaghetti as the package directs. Spoon the marinara sauce over the cooked pasta and it is ready to serve.
