Gluten Free Rice
Rice is naturally gluten free. Rice is suitable accompaniments for many gluten free dishes and can be served in a wide variety or ways. There are many different varieties of rice including brown and white, long grain, wild rice, short grain, pudding rice, basmati and risotto rice (aborio), all of which are gluten free. Boiled rice can be served as it is, stir-fry or used as the basis for gluten free rice salad.
How to Cook Gluten Free Brown Rice
Bring 1.4 litres / 5 2/3 cups lightly salted water to the boil in a large saucepan. Add 250g/ 9 oz/ 1 1/4 cups brown rice. Bring back to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer, uncovered for 25 - 30 minutes until the rice is tender but retains a bit of bite. Drain the rice in a sieve, rise with boiling water then drain throughly again.

Gluten Free Rice Noodles.
Rice noodles are gluten free and is made from ground rice and water and can be bought in variety of thickness ranging from very thin to wide ribbons sheets. They are available fresh or dried and are often soaked in warm water before being briefly cooked.
How to cook Gluten Free Rice Noodles.
Bring 2 litres / 8 cups lightly salted water to boiled is a large sauce pan. Turn off the heat and add 250g / 2 1/4 cups rice noodles. Stir the noodles with a fork to separate them, cover and set aside for 4 minutes. Your gluten free rice noodles is ready to serve with any of your favorite soups, vegetables and meat.
